Festa da São João (Also known as the Festival of Sardines) is celebrated around the end of June until the beginning of July. Very busy (and fun) time to visit.
Also fun is the Figueira Smash Fest which is one of the biggest beach volleyball events in Portugal that takes place at the beginning of August. Visit Beach Me for further information.
